Every piece begins as a raw block of naturally fallen wood — hand-selected for its grain, texture, and character. Our artisans carve, shape, sand, and paint each piece entirely by hand, one careful step at a time, from raw wood to finished charm.
This is the art of Kibori (木彫り) — a traditional Japanese wood-carving craft with over a thousand years of history. Rooted in patience, precision, and deep respect for natural materials, Kibori (木彫り) was once practiced by master craftsmen in the temples and workshops of ancient Japan.
Our artisans are certified inheritors of this living tradition — trained under generational masters, each carrying forward techniques that cannot be taught by machines or manuals.
